Get outside… take a breather

We were so excited about our summer plans, having lined up several campgrounds to visit all around the East Coast. Then in March, most of the country underwent quarantine in an effort to slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Most of us began this quarantine under the impression that it would last for a few weeks; but weeks turned into months, winter into Spring and Spring to Summer. Life as usual was a distant memory. As we continued the effort to battle the virus, many vacations were being cancelled, weddings postponed, family visits rescheduled and travel nearly came to a halt. As summer began, families were wanting, nay, NEEDING, a way to get out of the house and vacation in a safe and responsible way.

MANY FAMILIES ARE REALIZING THAT RV-ING IS THE PERFECT SOLUTION TO MEET THEIR NEED FOR TRAVEL AND SAFETY AMID THIS PANDEMIC.

The wonderful thing about RVing is that everything you need is in your trailer. Your family can stay in a contained environment (assuming they are equipped with a bathroom) and can enjoy the great outdoors and the ability to travel without the worry of being exposed to others. USA Today says, “Those who own or rent an RV – be it a motorhome or trailer – can stock it with their own bedding and personal items to give them the feeling that it's a safer option than flying or staying in hotels.”

SO THE QUESTION IS, SHOULD YOU BUY OR RENT AN RV?

Well, as RV owners ourselves, we would probably lean toward buying but we do know how much work goes into maintaining the RV so we are happy to share a great experience that could help you decide.

This is not an advertising or paid endorsement. We just happened to use their service and had great experience.

Outdoorsy is an RV rental site where renters can connect with RV owners and have the opportunity to rent an RV of their choice. This is not only a safe solution for vacation, given the current crisis, this is a great solution for those wanting to RV but having little experience. This gives potential owners a chance to acclimate themselves to the needs and demands of the RV they are interested in and make an educated decision on whether to take the plunge.

The other benefit, is that many people are choosing to RV this summer, due to the pandemic, but will likely return to their usual vacation plans when/if things return to “normal.” Outdoorsy is a wonderful solution for those that want to rent an RV and get out of their house but not be saddled with a long-term commitment.

So whether you are in desperate need of a break from your never-ending quarantine, you are considering an upgrade of your current rig or you are looking for a new way to vacation, renting an RV might be the answer.
